A Model to Predict Failure

failureEveryone wants success. But, Success is random, unpredictable, while Failure, in contrast, is certain. If anyone would tell you’ll fail. You’ll.

Not because that person is clever than you, but simply because failure is inevitable, and the road to anything great is paved with soul breaking failures, a lot of personal distress and social stigma.

In his Monday Morning Memo of  March 11, 2012 the legendary marketing wizard Roy H Williams, narrated the certainty of failure. To get my head around the story, I’ve made a graphical representation as below.

Now, few quotes on Failure to finish this article:

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
― Maya Angelou

“People don’t fear failure, they fear shame.”
Jason Njoku

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
― Winston Churchill

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
